127 Died In Damaturu Attack

 

  A five-hour battle between members of the violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram, and military troops in Damaturu, Yobe State, killed at least 127 people, all but two combatants, according to reports from army and police officers.
The stench of rotting corpses from the morgue hung over Damaturu Specialist Hospital on Tuesday, where a reporter counted 31 bodies identified as those of extremists.
There was a heavy gun battle between the terrorists and the army in Damaturu between Thursday and Friday, when the insurgents attacked police and military formations.
